Graphic design is the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books. It is important to communicate visually because it sets the mood and it shows what it means.

So that we don't hurt ourselves.

Elements of design describes the fundamental ideas about the practice of good visual design. They are incorporated into a design by showing putting in the designer's ideas into the design.

They are the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygons which are based on mathematical expressions to represent images in computer graphics.

They are resolution dependent are created by pixels.

It expands or compresses pixels.

The function is to give the audience some sort of feeling and express the designer's thoughts.

They use a page layout program to explain their design.

First, they have to create what they want to design and transfer that to a page layout to form their final product.

For example, New York City would be a key development in the history of visual communication because of all the big, bright advertisements going on. It created what New York City is now today.

There are many careers available within the field of graphic designer such as an art/creative director, advertising/marketing, print publication designer, etc.

No, because I feel like I wouldn't be good at it because thinking up of something to design is hard for me.
