Warm/Cool Colors - warm colors are colors that range from red to lime green. cool colors range from green to red violet
Subtractive Primary Colors - complementary colors: cyan, yellow, and magenta
Additive Primary Colors - primary color elements that make up white lights
Typography - the art and technique of arranging type to make written language
Typeface - a set of one or more fonts each composed of glyphs that share common design features
Serif - a small line attached to the end of a stroke in a letter or symbol
Body Type - the specific typeface that is used in the main text
Display Name - name to display what the message is talking about

Point Size - how big you want the letter to be
Ligatures - a thing used for tying or binding something tightly
Ampersand - a logogram "&" representing conjunction word "and"

Flush Right - alignment of the right side of the page, screen, or margin
Centered - placed or situated in the center

Type Family - the distinction between font and type face is that a font designates a specific member of a type family such as roman, boldface, or italic type
Small Caps - uppercase characters set at the same height and weight as surrounding lowercase letters
Lining - a layer of different material covering the inside surface of something
Non-lining - numerals typeset with varying heights in a fashion that resembles a typical line of running text
Leading - the distance between the baselines of successive lines of type
Margin - the area between the main content of a page and the page edges
Kerning - the process of adjusting the space between characters in a proportional font
Tracking - the space between groups of letters

Final Product - a product that is ready for sale without significant further processing
Thumbnail - reduced-size versions of pictures, used to help in recognizing and organizing
Initial Cap - oversized letters at the start of some paragraphs
